Mindmirror / Liquid Society: Fifteen years / Escape
05/03/12 || revenant
This is how I like my labels sends: short. This is a two song split single from two Finnish heavy rock artists obviously keen to get their shit exposed. So let’s see how they rate then…
Mindmirror: Fifteen years – opens promisingly with a decent rocking riff and a nice solo, but then becomes a bit generic. The singer has a great husky voice that definitely suits the style of rock they play. Somewhat catchy chorus too. Not too bad. 6/10
Liquid Society: Escape – chick fronted metal that does nothing to differentiate itself from any other band doing the same thing. Decent breakdown in the middle is spoiled by some pretty lame growls. The weaker of the two for sure. 4/10
5/10: According to my calculator, that’s the average score.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
